Falling in love is on many people’s bucketlist, including mine…
…but not everyone who lives here will fall in in love in Ottawa.
There are however, some interesting dates people could go on in and around the city. I asked some university students who live in the capital what their wildest date would consist of.
If you could do something on your bucketlist, as a date, what would you do?
Business student, Krys Kudakiewics said that he would take a girl zip lining in Gatineau Park. “Then we’d have a picnic with wine, at the top of one of the peaks.”
The outdoors seems to be a common factor.
Emily Luyben, a nursing student at Ottawa U, said, “I think I’d like to try rock-climbing.”
While rock-climbing has never been on the top of my list of things to do, Dom Guiver, physics major is also on board. Maybe I should set them up? He added, that if the date were lower key he’d go canoeing down Ottawa River, and have lunch in the arboretum. (Cute!)
More extreme, political science major, Lauren McMurray, says she liked to go Bungee Jumping. “Both people are out of their comfort zone and it’s a good trust building exercise.”
Personally, I would rather stick to the simple things on my list. I’d like to go for a nice dinner at a new restaurant and tour the art galleries in the market. Maybe grab a coffee, give us a chance to talk, but honestly, where am I going to find a pour schmuck who would enjoy that?
